My son has fecal incontinence as I know others with neurodevelopmental disorders also do, as he is also high functioning I feel this has also been a barrier to his diagnosis as the focus has continually been on the incontinence instead. My son first accessed CAMHS 4 years ago however he has only just had an assessment as we couldn't make one appointment date and were put right back to the beginning of the waiting list. |

I think ASD is a very complex condition and it can easily be overlooked if you are not on the extreme end of the spectrum, I believe that the current waiting system is inadequate my so is almost 11 now and needed help far sooner. I think that the Bill will focus public awareness and ensure that children get diagnosed far sooner. |
